Brigadier J.S. Jagdev brings together the discipline of a soldier, the vision of a leader, and the heart of a social worker. Commissioned into the Indian Army in 1973, he served with distinction for over three decades, including a posting at the formidable Siachen Glacier. He went on to command a brigade in an insurgency-affected region, an achievement recognized with the prestigious Sena Medal for exemplary leadership.

Since retiring from the Army, Brigadier Jagdev has channelled that same sense of duty into public service — with a particular focus on the welfare of senior citizens and the strengthening of rural education. As President of MSCA, Punjab’s largest senior citizens’ association with over 2,400 members, he has played a central role in shaping it into a warm, active, and inclusive community.

He also serves as General Secretary of the Trust for Promotion of Education, working to support government schools in rural areas by providing qualified tutors who help improve learning outcomes for students.

An avid traveller and passionate golfer, Brigadier Jagdev continues to lead by example — bringing energy, compassion, and quiet dedication to everything he takes on.
