08-Aug-2025: At Fortis Hospital, the special health talk was on ‘Neuro health in old age’. Dr Amit Shankar Singh, DM Neurology, had an exclusive talk on headache. He clarified the different types of headaches, like Tension, Migraine, Cluster or a daily persisting one. Migraine are most common, where half-head pains lasting 4 to 72 hours cause irritation, nausea, vomiting, besides temporary blindness or dizziness or numbness in some cases. Usually, fatigue, irregular sleep, stress & strong emotions are triggers, which need to be checked, and excessive painkillers to be avoided. Some members put queries about their experiences, which were specifically clarified. Healthy refreshment was served by the hospital.
