15-Nov-2025: Dr J S Ramgariah (LM No 1680), at LAF recited the love story of ‘Sassi-Punnu’ to the audience. He briefed the background of Sassi, daughter of a king but raised by a humble washerman. Punnu, a prince, heard of her beauty and fell in love. They eloped but Punnu’s brother opposed and separated them. She set off alone, across the harsh desert to find him, but died overcome by thirst and grief. Later, Punnu also died in the same desert after learning Sassi’s fate. The members thanked for refreshing the memories of famous love story, they had heard long back. Refreshment was also sponsored by Dr J S Ramgariah which everyone relished.
