10-November-2025: The monthly get together / meeting was held in the Library Hall, Rose Garden in which about 50 members joined. The Tambola round conducted by Sh M S Sawhney making it fun-filled as members engrossed for winning dividends. The Cacti plants brought by Sh M S Kohli were also given to members through lucky draw. It being the ‘World Pneumonia Day’ Dr Sonal MD, DM Pulmonology, LIVASA Hospital, specifically kept her talk around pneumonia. It is an infection that flames air sacs in one or both lungs. Symptoms include cough, fever, chills or difficulty in breathing. Bacteria being the common cause but viruses like influenza and fungi can also damage lungs. For prevention, she advised for regular vaccinations and good hygiene & avoiding smoking. Being interactive session, the talk got more purposeful and enlightening. The Doctor was honoured with memento gift by S Harkirat Singh. The birthday of Ms Seema, the Librarian was celebrated by cutting cake and presenting a gift. Some nice old hindi / punjabi songs were presented by members. Sumptuous refreshments was relished by all.
