That tradition has always represented our belief in shared leadership and collective responsibility. I was therefore deeply touched—indeed, genuinely moved—when all you expressed, with one voice, your wish for me to continue in this role.

I accept your decision with humility and heartfelt gratitude. Your continued faith is something I do not take lightly. To me, it is not a personal honour, but a reaffirmation of the trust we have built together over the years and of the shared values that unite us as members of this Association. It renews my sense of responsibility and strengthens my resolve to serve with the same sincerity and commitment you have always demonstrated towards MSCA. Reflecting on the past four years, I feel a profound sense of satisfaction and gratitude. These years were not without challenges.

Some moments tested our patience, resilience, and unity. However, what stands out most clearly is how we faced each difficulty together. With the unwavering support of the Governing Body and the cooperation of our members, we did not allow adversity to divide or weaken us. Instead, we became stronger, wiser, and more closely connected.

Personally, this journey has been a meaningful learning experience for me. It has strengthened my belief that MSCA is more than just an organisation — it is a family. A family where empathy is valued, where differences are acknowledged, and where the well-being of each member is a collective concern. The friendships made, the conversations shared, and the mutual support offered during both happy and challenging times truly define our Association.

As we progress together, we must build on this strong foundation with renewed energy and clarity of purpose. Alongside the Governing Body, I would like to concentrate on a few priorities that I believe are vital for the ongoing vitality of MSCA.

Firstly, strengthening member engagement and inclusivity will remain central to our efforts. Every member should feel that they belong, that their voice matters, and that they are an essential part of our collective journey. An association thrives when participation is active and when no one feels isolated or overlooked. We will continue to promote interaction, shared activities, and open communication to foster this sense of belonging.

Secondly, we will place greater emphasis on programmes related to health, well-being, and awareness. Good health—physical, mental, and emotional—is the foundation of a fulfilling life. At the same time, the rapidly changing world around us requires us to stay informed and prepared. Initiatives related to digital literacy, financial prudence, and cyber safety have already proven their value, and we will strive to expand these efforts so that our members feel confident, secure, and empowered in their daily lives.

Third, I strongly believe in the importance of inter-generational interaction. As senior citizens, we carry with us a lifetime of experience, lessons, and perspective. By engaging with younger generations, we not only pass on this wisdom but also stay connected to evolving ideas and aspirations. Such exchanges enrich both sides and help bridge
generational gaps with understanding and mutual respect.

Finally, we will continue to strengthen MSCA’s role as a compassionate and credible voice for senior citizens in our region. Advocacy, awareness, and constructive engagement with society and institutions are responsibilities we must uphold with dignity and integrity.

I am sincerely thankful for your encouragement, guidance, and cooperation. I promise to continue doing my best, always guided by your trust and expectations. With your active involvement and support, I am confident that together we will further strengthen the foundations of our Association and move forward with purpose and pride.

Let us carry on this journey together—with unity, optimism, and a steadfast commitment to the values that have shaped the Mohali Senior Citizens’ Association into a community we are all proud to call our own.

Yours as ever,
Brig JS Jagdev

Dear Esteemed Members, When I started my second consecutive two-year term as President of the Mohali Seniors’ Association, I did so with a clear understanding that, in accordance with our…

[61

post-5084","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-presidents-message
["GET
